Acura has announced the arrival of the 2011 version of its luxury sedan entry level, the TSX will arrive in the United States in fall 2010. The car, which was first introduced in 2004 is currently sold in the United States, Canada and Mexico. TSX Sportwagon is a re badged European Accord sold in Europe, Australia and Japan. The Acura TSX gets positioned mid-size luxury Acura TL and slightly larger than the crossover Acura ZDX 2010.

TSX is the smallest in the Acura lineup, with the exception of the Civic-based CSX sold in Canada. The new model of the TSX will be some changes to make the TSX already proved a better product on the entry level segment. The sedan will be some additions to the utility side, making a lot of sense and will conquer the heart of Americans. Acura has not ironed out the details of the car, but it would be almost a twin to the current version of the TSX sedan on the whole. The car should follow the same powertrain options and packages. The car is a new 3.5-liter, 280 hp V6 currently available, including 201 hp 2.4 liter four-cylinder producing 172 pounds-feet of torque.

Acura plans to bring a 2.2-liter i-DTEC clean diesel engine turbo TSX range. However, the latest Honda has decided not to make diesel engines in the U.S. and a planned gas-electric hybrid. Delivery options currently available include a 5-speed manual 6-speed automatic.
Compared to its main rivals such as Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon 2010 and 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate, the Acura TSX is much smaller. But the factors in favor of Acura is offering its low cost, and premium positioning will attract young buyers. We will have to wait for the official Honda Acura whether brought significant changes to the 2010-version.
